Kitchen Gardening
CSC is working with communities in rural areas of Tehsil Sharaqpur and Ferozewala of Sheikhupura District, where the occupation of vast majority people is agriculture. In this regard, CSC organizes the training program on Kitchen Gardening for food Security with women. These trainings were helpful for women to learn and enable the basic techniques of kitchen gardening.
Mostly women are using these techniques to grown variety of vegetables for their house use but they face hurdle and don’t have enough resources to buy seeds and organic fertilizers so CSC provided them seeds and organic fertilizers in a Seed Distribution Ceremony. It was held in Mandiawalan village and 25 women from four villages participated in this ceremony and received seasonal seeds.
